Rules & Regulations
  1. Race results announced on race day will be ‘provisional’. Results and entitlement to prize money shall be subject to the rules mentioned herein and the Race Regulations.
  2. Elite Prize winners are not eligible for age category prizes. Age category results will be announced on the website / social media within one week of the event. Winner timings will be declared as per their net time.
  3. Prize money will be given within 45 days after the event day. All prize winners, should necessarily provide details of bank accounts in India.
  4. Only those marathon runners confirmed by the Promoter as elite runners starting their race at 3:30 a.m. will be entitled to be considered for prize money given in Chart A and B of the prize money structure, if falling within the prize money winning positions.
  5. Confirmed elite runners starting their race at 3:30 a.m. or any other start time, other than 3:30 a.m., shall be disqualified from the Event.
  6. Any Elite runner, Indian or international, who is one of the top overall marathon finishers, will be entitled to prize money stated in Chart A. The first 3 Indian elite marathon finishers who do not finish in the top overall marathon finishers, will be entitled to prize money in Chart B. However, where an Indian Elite runner finishes as one of the top overall marathon finishers, he/she will receive prize money stated either in Chart A or Chart B, whichever is HIGHER. In the instance of an Indian elite availing of the higher prize money amount from Chart B, there will be NO CHANGE in the overall finishing position of the said Indian elite runner; the overall finishing positions remain the same.
  7. Only confirmed non-Elite marathon runners falling within the age groups given in awards section and starting their race at 3:30 a.m. will be entitled to be considered for prize money as mentioned in Chart.
  8. Open marathon runners (non-elite) participating across various age categories must start their race at 3:30 a.m. Where they start their race at any other time, they forego their timings, rankings and prize money entitlement under the respective age categories.
  9. The cut-off of finish times for prize money entitlement for the marathon race category must be within below values from respective start times:
    - Elite Overseas: 2 hrs 30 Mins
    - Elite Indian: 2 hrs 55 Mins (For Male) | 3 hrs 45 Mins (For Female)
  10. Finish positions of non-elite marathon runners falling within the age groups will be based on respective net finish times only.
  11. In addition to the above, entitlement to finish positions and Prize Money winnings are also subject to:
    1. Bib tag timing captured across all timing points on the course, including at the start and finish mats.
    2. Physical verification by technical officials and anti-cheat cameras, and
    3. Dope test results (applicable only for the top overall elite marathon finishers and top Indian elite finishers).
  12. An elite marathon athlete refusing, for reasons whatsoever, to undergo dope testing (where chosen) will be disqualified from this Event and shall not be allowed to participate in the 2021 edition of the Event. His/her finish position at the AU Bank Jaipur Marathon 2020 and consequent prize money entitlement shall stand disqualified and forfeited.
  13. Runners found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or bib tag with others will be disqualified from the competition. Such runners shall not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable).
  14. Prize winners declared may be required to submit further proof of identity/age, as may be required by the Promoter, for disbursement of prize money, failing which the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, withhold disbursement or disqualify the said participant from the competition.
  15. Prize Money is subject to applicable Indian Income Tax Rules, and the same would be borne by the winner.
  16. Protests and Appeals
    [A] Only with respect to results of Marathon Elite (overall and Indian) finish positions:
    1. The athlete and/or his/her representative can appeal to the Race Referee in relation to the official race results declared, in writing, within 30 minutes of the official announcement of the results on race day. Results will be put up at the elite athlete Arena.
    2. The protest letter needs to be submitted with a Protest Fee of INR 1,000.
    3. Where the Race Referee decides,the athlete and/or the representative has the right to appeal to the Jury of Appeal. An appeal to the Jury of Appeal must be made at the Elite Result Appeals Desk within 30 minutes – (i) of the official announcement of the amended result which has been arrived at from the decision by the Race Referee, or (ii) of informing the person lodging the protest that the results will not be amended.
    4. The Jury of Appeal shall deliver its decision within 7 working days of filing the appeal. The decision of the Jury of Appeal shall be final and there shall be no further right of appeal.
    5. Where the protest is decided in the favors of the complainant, the Protest Fee will be refunded in full to such complainant within one-week of the decision. Where the protest is decided against the complainant, such Protest Fee will be forfeited in full.
    [B] Only with respect to results of Marathon Age Category finish positions:
    1. Any confirmed marathon runner of the AU Bank Jaipur Marathon 2020 can lodge a protest in relation to the official race results in relation to the age category finish positions declared after the race.
    2. The Protest Letter, along with a demand draft payable at Jaipur, of INR 1,000 to made in Favor of Indian Institute of Event Management Research Trust.
    3. Only the protest letters received on or before, 6th Feb 2020, will be entertained.
    4. A jury shall deliberate, verify and deliver its decision on the Protest within 7 working days of receiving the Protest Letter. The decision will be intimated to the person lodging the protest and shall be featured on the event website, wherein favorable.
    5. Where the protest is decided in favor of the complainant, the Protest Fee will be refunded to such complainant, without any deductions, within one week of the decision. Where the protest is decided against the complainant, such Protest Fee will be forfeited in full.
    6. The decision of the jury shall be final and binding on all.
  17. Timing results: Where the timing result of an amateur marathon runner with respect to his/her gender and/or age, is required to be updated online, the runner needs to write, no later than 6/02/2020, at info@marathonjaipur.com , specifying the nature of edit required and attaching the relevant proof of change.

  2. Age category results will be announced on the website / social media within one week of the event. Winner timings will be declared as per their net time.
  3. Prize money will be given within 45 days after the event day. All prize winners, should necessarily provide details of bank accounts in India.
  4. Only those Half Marathon runners, who finish within 3 hours from the start time and who fall within the finish positions as indicated in the Prize Money Structure, will be entitled to prize money in their respective categories.
  5. Finish positions of the half marathon age categories, as mentioned, for prize money entitlement shall be based on respective net finish times only.
  6. In case a half marathon age category winner falls within the half marathon overall finish positions based on his/her gun time, he/she will retain the winning position of the relevant age category; he/she will be entitled to the prize money.
  7. In addition to the above, entitlement to finish positions and Prize Money winnings are also subject to:
    1. Bib tag timing captured across all timing points on the course, including at the start and finish mats, and
    2. Physical verification by technical officials and anti-cheat cameras.
  8. Runners found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or bib tag with others will be disqualified from the competition. Such runners shall not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable).
  9. Prize winners declared may be required to submit further proof of identity/age, as may be required by the Promoter, for disbursement of prize money, failing which the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, withhold disbursement or disqualify the said participant from the competition.

    2. The Protest Letter, along with a demand draft payable at Jaipur, of INR 1,000 to made in Favor of Indian Institute of Event Management Research Trust.
    3. Only the protest letters received on or before, 6thFeb 2020, will be entertained.
    4. A jury shall deliberate, verify and deliver its decision on the Protest within 7 working days of receiving the Protest Letter. The decision will be intimated to the person lodging the protest and shall be featured on the event website, where in favorable.
    5. Where the protest is decided in the favors of the complainant, the Protest Fee will be refunded to such complainant, without any deductions, within one-week of the decision. Where the protest isdecided against the complainant, such Protest Fee will be forfeited in full.

    2. Physical verification by technical officials and anti-cheat cameras.
  4. Runners found to have interchanged their running number bib and/or bib tag with others will be disqualified from the competition. Such runners shall not be entitled to any timing or prize money (where applicable).
